Brief outline of services offered: ASIRT provides general legal advice and assistance to persons subject to UK immigration control and their dependants, who by reason of their inadequate financial resources are otherwise unable to obtain such advice and assistance. We also provide relief for asylum-seekers, refugees and their dependants in Birmingham who are in condition of need, hardship and distress. ASIRT advances the education of local people and the education and training of asylum-seekers and refugees and their dependants in order to assist with their inclusion into the wider community.

Office opening hours: drop-in every Thursday between 10 am and 4 pm.
Additional useful information: Co-ordinator of Destitution Support Services works together with the agencies providing help to destitute asylum seekers and raising awareness at a local and regional level across the statutory and voluntary sector of the issues and problems experienced by destitute asylum seekers and at the same time working on practical solutions.
